So, you can believe what you want, but honestly, the really unsettling thing was the missing log. It just vanished the next day(did someone take it , couldnt find it). Of course, our first instinct was to investigate, to go back to the spot. But then we were stopped cold by this enormous trench of deep, murky swamp water. It was completely impassable. We were kicking ourselves, thinking if only we’d had better equipment, we could have pushed further. And at night? Forget about it. We desperately needed a way to mark our location; after that whole experience, we just wanted to get out of there.
Paulie’s going to walk you through his side of it, and you know, we always try to find a logical explanation, to talk ourselves out of what we experienced. But with this… the feeling in your gut, the visuals burned into your mind, they just don’t let you. We really regret not having it on film, but our camera decided to have a meltdown at the worst possible time. And in that kind of fear, let’s be real, your brain just screams fight or flight. We definitely chose the latter.
